I Finally Tried Those Brownies Made w/Black Beans...

And they were surprisingly good! It's one of those very simple recipes that uses only 2 ingredients.

I Brownie Mix
1 can Black Beans(15-16 ounce size)

Drain and rinse the black beans well. Put the beans back into the can and add fresh water until the can is full again. Empty the beans and water into a blender and puree. Add the puree to the brownie mix and stir together. Bake as directed on the box.

I have never heard of bean brownies! I am going to get some brownie mix and try it. We reallt don't eat a whole lot of meat here so I am always open to ways to get some extra protein!

Don't tell the kids and see how they react. I truly like them. They hold together well and aren't crumbly, either.

They had a brownie recipe on the dr oz show that had no brownie mix at all,I think it was just beans,cocoa powder and agave ??? Something like that.

I do this as well Athena!! It's my way to get protein into my 4 year old...
