wow, what FB anger comes out

When you past a beautiful music link that happened to be a wedding song for Ellen and Portia... I wasn't posting a belief, just a song...but my gosh, one of my "friends" who is a very strong believer (in interpreting the Bible her way) had very strong opinion...

I'm not promoting gay marriage and I'm not condoning it ... but I say, 'let it be' (the Beatles said it too)... one persons life style is not ours to condemn... but hate that a good friend has really let her zealous feelings come forth....

I don't know what she said,but maybe just thinkin about Ellen ad Portia's marriage made her voice her opinion.I have gay and lesbian friends,I live in NY for God's sake,but I also don't condone gay weddings. God made Adam and Eve ,not Adam and Steve lol,but to each his own.I have nothing against them being together,I just don't think that gays marrying was what God had in mind.

And I have said that to my gay friends too

Trust me, I had more to say on the issue, but I restrained myself. I think it was rude of her to post a sermon on your wall, especially after you said hey, you have your own views, let me have my own. If I was you I would either delete the post altogether, or delete it and repost it without commentary. OR...if I was feeling especially fiesty, I'd repost it on HER wall, complete with all commentary and probably more, and let her give her sermon to herself.

I missed the whole thing. I always find those arguments so damn funny. I just don't get it. I get the whole religious belief thing but at the end of the day we answer for our own choices, no one else's, that's for them to answer to. I was married by the JP, no church involved. I figure if you are against gay marriage you probably shouldn't marry anyone of the same sex. Other than that I could not care less, does not diminish my marriage in any way shape or form nor does it threaten me in any way. It seems if people are really that concerned about the sanctity of marriage we should ban divorce.

I just ended up deleting all the posts (but kept the link)... I was, afterall, just posting a beautiful musical song by a very talented artist.

I have nothing against gays, and if they can marry, well so be it... doesn't effect me.

I just get so frustrated with people who are so anti gay and everything else!

I totally believe that gay people don't "choose" to be gay, really believe it's in their genes (evident in my extended family)... and they want to live together, be married, live the American Dream.... what harm does it do?

I just get so tired of people citing bible quotes... the bible is open to interpretation... and some people really take it literally.
