Proud of myself..

Post by KellyM on Mon Oct 04, 2010 12:18 am

Had a few things I had to order online...and twice in the last couple days I ACTUALLY remembered to look on mypoints to see if they were mypoints merchants so I could earn points at the same time and both of them were..yay! So I earned like 500 pts between the two purchases...

I almost never remember to check..I don't know what made me think to check this time but I'm glad I did. Most of the time I usually order from Amazon which of course is not a point earner..so that's why I usually don't think about it...but I remembered this time...

WooHoo! I love that feeling, too. Once in a while, like when I don't know exactly what I want yet, I'll check MyPoints to find merchants and then browse their stores. I love it when I find something that'll work from one of the MyPoints merchants.

Yes, 500 points awesome... but (and isn't there alway a but from me?) Sometimes Amazon sells things for less than the store website. If you do the math and come to the conclusion that even if you pay more and can get points, then that's a good thing... you just have to do the math LOL

And then there are other considerations. I use a gmail for my MPs... but when I order from LLB, I use my home email, so that's not an option with MPs... always have to weigh the differences.

The things that I was looking for, I couldn't find on Amazon. I happened to find exactly what I wanted and those couple websites just happened to be on the MyPoints merchant list...it was a happy coincidence..

I'm proud of myself for a completely different reason today. My niece called yesterday and asked if I could maybe look at her bridesmaid dress for her. She lost a little too much weight and didn't want a wardrobe malfunction with her strapless dress. I managed to take it in along the bustline area and you can't even tell from the outside that I did anything! I was so scared!

*If you look at my bear avatar, that's about how frazzled I was!
