Now that's a big change! The before pics don't show how long it was, but you still have lots of length left - there was no need to worry. Did she cut before and after? Also- That is a lot of hair to perm! You must have run the poor girl ragged!

Wow, Kelly! You have gorgeous hair, and it's soooo long! I'm stunned.

I like it. It looks even and well done. And I think it will look good if it relaxes too. Back when I used to perm my hair it would always relax a lot after the first week and I'd be bummed because it wasn't as curly as I like. Yours looks good now AND would look nice if it de-curls a little.

Thanks! I asked like Erin suggested that she cut it after and not before and after. She cut a few inches off and I kind of knew she would have to, my ends were so dry and damaged and had a lot of split ends. However, with the few inches cut off and the perm, I'm still happy with the length and don't think it's too short. It looks like a lot of hair, but truth is my hair is SUPER thin (which is one of the reasons I wanted a perm, to make it look fuller). I went in there at 1, had a wash, she rolled my hair and did the perm, trimmed it, dried and styled it and I was out of there at 3:30.

Don't mind the big bags under my eyes, lol the L'Oreal Micro Pulse needs to work better darn it! Now in two weeks I can go for a color (they only charge $15. for that and if I want highlights it's $1.00 additional for every two foils. Right now, as you can see from the back picture, my roots are pretty long, but it looks darker in the picture than it actually is, as you can tell in comparison to the before pictures.

Looks good.

I have an appt for highlights, but I keep cancelling it due to life. I like to get 3-5 colors foiled, and it is only $18 here....my friends daughter needs a guinea pig, and she has done my hair lots of times before so i trust her, besides, they only let them use Demi so it will only last about 6 weeks anyway

I like it. I have always wanted to get that kind of perm but I'm too chicken. I have LOTS of hair. LOTS. I just got 6 inches chopped off tonight, she commented that I had more hair than the last three people combined and I think a perm would be just too much volume. I'm not looking for an 80's do, lol.

lol tara, if my hair were thicker, I would have had to have her thin it before getting a perm or i would have had "headbanging hair" lmao But since mine is so thin, I could get away with it. I like it permed because I can just towel dry, mousse, pick and that's it, I don't have to dry my hair, use a curling iron or flat iron. I wish my hair were thicker though...it's so thin on top..

LOL I don't do any of that anyway. I guess I am not a very good "girl" I don't even own a blow dryer or any of that. Occasionally for fun when I get it cut I will tell them to dry it.... I have never had one actually finish. They quit when we near an hour and give me a discount because it's just that thick, it doesn't dry. If I leave it down and alone it takes about 12 hours to fully dry. I do like the Got2B luster lotion and frizz eaze.
