Still here...

Post by KellyM on Thu Mar 11, 2010 8:58 pm

lol, I am currently without phone until the 22nd.. no TV starting tonight....I don't know about internet..

I was looking around on line and if I find out later that Wynonna is having a little girl, I will be in so much trouble...I found a bunch of little dresses that are so friggin cute! Baby clothes are so adorable! But I will just remind myself, that just like when mine were little that they don't stay little very long. Buying an over-abundance of clothes is kind of wasting money..but a few cute outfits wouldn't hurt Smile

Forgot to mention..the realtor called today for me to go get the keys, the garage door opener remote, the security system remote, etc.. When I got there, she handed me a manilla envelope with the aforementioned stuff in it. So I talk to her for a minute and just as I am getting ready to leave, she pulls out a gift bag and hands it to me. She gave me a beautiful card and wrote a personalized message thanking us for trusting her to help us find the right home. In the gift bag was a metal plate personalized with our last name engraved on it.. for the house or mailbox...it's very pretty..I thought that was very sweet of her.

Nice gift. When we bought this house the realator gave us a huge basket with all sorts of goodies, food, candles, an awesome throw blanket. It came in the greatest basket ever- I LOVE that stupid basket, lol.

We got a fairly huge house plant from our realtor the last time we bought a house. It has since kicked the bucket. I would rather have had either of the gifts you got. LOL

My real estate agent didnt give me jack... the cheap bastard... LOL But he sure was glad to get me IN a house. Since I (my mom origianally) had been renting through their office for the last 3 years. And I (my mom moved when I was 16 at my insistance) hadnt paid rent in 5 months, because they wouldnt fix the AC/heat, Hot water heater (no hot water at all for about 4 months), stove, and a few other things. and in the year or so I had been the actual renter I had stayed on their ass all the time. Smile

He was just glad to get me out of there and out of his hair... had I been smarter I'da filed charges on them. They didnt even try to evict me. LOL

Every realtor is different. When we sold our condo in CA, we had a great agent, like her so much, gave her a lead on a guy who also wanted to sell. When we moved into our MI home, the CA agent sent us a beautiful fall floral arangement PLUS a $100 check for referring her to the fellow I mentioned when she got the listing.

When we sold our house in MI, we really downsized, and I mentioned we were leaving all our mason jars and canning supplies in the root cellar (custom built) for the new buyer, our relator had the never to ask if he could have them (well NOOOOO) while our buyers received a gift from their realtor AT the closing...

Ya win some, ya loose some... our MI reator stunk!

I've never dealt with a realtor. Our house was built by Scott's grandparents with help from his great-grandparents.

Our first realtor sent us a basket with stuff in it when we moved in. I really think she was shocked that we even bought a house and got financing, we were 19 and 20...Our second realtor sent a Lowes Gift Card, because she knew we would be repainting.

A Lowe's, Home Depot or Ace Hardware gift card would be excellent. Everyone wants to repaint and reorganize a new home!
