OK, I printed the wrapper and attached the suggested postage. Do you think it's safe to mail it, or should I take it to the post office and double check their estimate?

I officially have the hang of this. I got another request for a book and it's the last one I thought would be taken. Also got a PM from someone who will be sending me one of the books I requested, and she's the author. Wanted to know if I would like her to sign it before she mails it. Um...yeah!

I've been having a lot of fun with paperback swap. I've been reading lots of Lisa Gardner. What a great mystery writer! She deserves to be more popular than she is. These kept me up at night:
"The Perfect Husband"
"The Third Victim"
"The Next Accident"

I'm also into the Lois Meade series by Ann Purser about a house cleaner & mother of 3 who gets involved in helping to solve crimes in local villages. I've read Murder on Monday, and Terror on Tuesday and have ordered 4 more in the series & have the last one on my wish list.

Oh, and guys...some of you long-time members may remember that I received a book in error from Zoom Panel called The Bloody Countess: Atrocities of Erzsebet Bathory. I listed it and it was requested within 24 hours and the woman who received it was thrilled that it looked so brand new and unread.

Good for you, Lori! Not only did you get a book credit out of it, you made a fellow PBS member happy.

I've been doing something similar with a box of books I found next to the recycling bin in town. Someone had dropped off about a dozen hardbacked books in good condition, so I rescued them and posted them all on PBS. None of them were titles I would have been interested in reading, but two of them have been claimed so far so I've gotten a couple of "free" credits. Smile

As for finding some good series to read, I tripped over one recently, the "Alex McKnight" series by Steve Hamilton, mostly set on Michigan's UP and northern Ontario. I had found and bought 16 hardbacked books at Dollar Tree, and the fourth one in this series was in the mix. Read it, liked it, and have tracked down two more in the series on PBS, and I'm trying to get the other three so I can read 'em all.
